Dr. Antarikhya Bordoloi is a specialist geriatrician based in Kolkata, consulting at Manipal Hospital Broadway and leading doctor-led home eldercare through GeraVita - Doctor-led Geriatrics. She holds an MD in Geriatric Medicine from Mahatma Gandhi Missions Medical College, Navi Mumbai, and is additionally certified in Palliative Care by the Indian Association of Palliative Care.
Her clinical focus is on the whole-person complexity of ageing — not just managing individual diseases, but understanding how physiology, medication, cognition, nutrition, and function interact in elderly patients. She is trained in Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA), the clinical gold standard for evaluating elderly patients, and applies STOPP/START criteria for polypharmacy review at every assessment.
Before specialising in geriatrics, Dr. Bordoloi practised across multiple settings — from the Indian Army's Family Welfare Centre in Guwahati to Indian Oil Corporation's medical team, to senior positions at Apollo Multispeciality Hospital and Charnock Hospital in Kolkata. This breadth of experience informs her ability to manage complex, multi-system cases with clear clinical judgment.
She is a faculty member for the Geriatric Society of India's Certificate Course in Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology (Versions IV and V), and has been an invited speaker at national conferences including the 18th International Conference on Geriatrics and Gerontology and the 37th National Annual Conference of the Geriatric Society of India.
Her research includes published work on antibiotic resistance in geriatric UTIs and severe anaemia in the elderly — areas that are frequently under-investigated in standard medical practice.
Beyond the clinic, she runs a patient education initiative through YouTube and Instagram, creating accessible content on geriatric health for families and caregivers. Her belief is that informed families make better care decisions — and that geriatrics as a specialty deserves far greater visibility in India.
